Alive and Well....

Ah, yes, here I am for my once in awhile futile attempt at blogging!  Things are good in the McIntyre world. Here's a quick run down:

*Graduation plans and party

*Painting the exterior of the house.

*Glen and I went to Sunny Florida WITHOUT Silas for 7 days.  I fed a dolphin at Seaworld.  I was thrilled.

*Silas starts Tball tommorow and will be 4 next month.  That's crazy!

*For the last month I've had more daycare kids than sense!

I'm sure there's lots more, but oh well.  I still have lots of unpacking to do!

Also, we are having our first ever "Friends and Family cookout" on Sunday the 18th at 5pm.  This is an open invitation to anyone we know, so we'd love for you to come!

Non- Committed Blogger

Hello my name is Marleen, and I am a non committed blogger.    Bless me Father.....It 's been a month since my last confession.  (Any of you former Catholic?!)

I used to do fairly okay with keeping up with this thing, but I 'm not sure how anyone makes time to keep up every day!

I'm done with my painting project, and I'm glad!  My arm has hurt for months, and Silas says "Please Mommy, let's stay home"

I'm with ya, son!  But all in all in was good, and I made good money and got a La-Z-Boy Leopard print recliner.

So, back to the kids watching business!  My new room is done and ready for kiddos.  Glen did a great job and deserves a huge check for all of his hard work, but since I'm out of huge checks, he got a massage last week!

Maybe I can get back at he updates now that I'll be home!

Happy Fall, Ya'll!

I love fall, the leaves, the cold...all of it!

I'm done painting, and now waiting for my new leopard print chair to arrive.  I'll have some kids this week, but then we going to camp at the Colors rally...funny, huh?  I think it will be nice to have the camper there, since Glen is there all day, that way he has a place to go and get away.  And I just like the whole camping thing, so Silas and I are going to take it all in like we're on a vacation!  Then it's off to IL to see my family.  Busy October!

I'm tired!

I'm tired of working!  I don't know how people who work outside the home get anything done!  I have been working for 2 weeks, getting up, taking Silas to the sitter, working all day, picking Si back up, dinner, house, laundry AAAHHHHH!

I am a stay at home mom.  I love making cinnamon toast for my wild- haired little boy wearing only red undies.  Yes, red.  He decided he liked red underware, after having one pair, so we had to find more.  We have 3 now, thanks to Target.  I love keeping my house together, and having the liberty to let it get out of control, but having the time to put it all back!  I love knowing when the mail comes everyday, keeping the sheets washed, taking walks, cooking meals, not just throwing something from a bag into a pan called Viola!  I love being the first person my son sees when he wakes up, the person that he calls on for everything, and the person who turns into "The Bedtime Express" at 7:45p.m.  (choo choo!)

And even though some days are filled with anguish of the washer leaking, the dog tracking mud inside, ants taking over the kitchen, something sticky on the table..chair...floor...everywhere, I wouldn't trade it to put my kid in daycare and make lots of money anyday!  After all, we are moms!!

I saw in my new Parents magazine that if you totalled the job descriptions that a mom does on a daily basis, she would make around $138,000 per year.  Not bad for a job that you can wear sweatpants to!

Have  a great weekend!

In the paint again...

I'm painting again, but not my house this time!  I got hired to paint a house for a guy that moved here from AZ.  I've never gotten paid for that before, so it's kinda exciting.   (The hardest part is trying to be extra careful since it's not my house!)

So, I'm very tired in the evening, and have to keep up with my own house, too!  I told Glen I don't know how people who work ever get anything done!!
